Fashioning Winter

Time: Tattoo Art Today

This summer, Somerset House will host Time: Tattoo Art Today, a free exhibition presenting original artworks from 70 of the world’s most influential tattoo artists including Ed Hardy, Horiyoshi III, Paul Booth and Mister Cartoon, curated by fellow tattoo artist Claudia De Sabe and publisher Miki Vialetto.

Form Through Colour: Josef Albers, Anni Albers and Gary Hume
5 June – 31 August 2014

Contemporary rug and fabric company Christopher Farr has collaborated with The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation and Gary Hume to create new, limited-edition collections around each of the artists’ signature series. Over 20 hand-crafted rugs, tapestries and fabric installations will be on show for the first time: 5 June - 31 August.

Museum of Water

Viktor Popkov: Genius of the Russian Soul

The UK’s first exhibition entirely dedicated to Viktor Popkov, one of Russia’s most acclaimed artists, will be hosted at Somerset House as part of the UK-Russia Year of Culture. The exhibition will provide an exceptional vision of an often-overlooked period of Soviet art that consists of much more than the stereotyped expressions of propaganda.
