Somerset House Trust employs staff in the following areas: finance, marketing, facilities management, event management, house management, volunteers management, fundraising, and administration. Please note that Somerset House Trust does not have catering or retail staff.

Marketing Internships

The Somerset House Marketing Internship is based in the communciations department, and involves assisting the Communications Director and Head of Press. The role would suit a student or graduate from a communications degree with an interest in the cultural sector, and requires strong organisation, communication and administration skills.

Typical projects would include implementing marketing strategy developed by managers, drafting press releases, assisting wtih opening night events, researching new audiences, managing databases, writing copy and sourcing images, contacting potential promotional partners and administrative tasks.

This is a great opportunity to experience how a busy communications department is run in a cultural organisation, and you'll have the chance to work on a variety of live events and visual arts exhibitions.
