Process

SHOWstudio.com has from the outset sought to demystify the creative process. So instead of simply presenting a finished article, the process of getting there is also celebrated, from the artists' initial inspiration to the techniques used. One of the most striking examples of process in the exhibition was Transformer: The Bridegroom Stripped Bare by Alexander McQueen. In the film, the exuberant artist is seen transforming a bridegroom into a bride in a frenzy of cutting, ripping and gaffer tape. Elsewhere, John Galliano's Past, Present and Couture offered a glimpse of the 'blood and guts' of the process of creating a set of photos.
Works by Rei Kawakubo, Jane How and Nick Knight among others also featured.
