A national competition to celebrate our major exhibition SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution. The ten best entries will feature in the exhibition.

SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution opens the door to the previously closed world of high fashion, allowing instant and unparalleled access to catwalk shows, fashion shoots, and groundbreaking collaborations with some of the fashion world's most influential and visionary figures. As well as privileged behind-the-scenes access to the creation and process of fashion, SHOWstudio invited you, its audience, to be actively involved.

The competition was a chance for entrants to create their own interpretation of a pattern courtesy of seven renowned fashion designers and have it featured in the upcoming exhibition at Somerset House. All seven patterns are available to download, free of charge, via the SHOWstudio website.

Prize
Ten of the best realisations will be featured in SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution at Somerset House 17 September-20 December 2009. Runner-up entries will also be featured on SHOWstudio.com.

Entries will be judged by a panel of fashion experts including Nick Knight (Director of SHOWstudio), Alistair O'Neil (Senior Lecturer & Senior Research Fellow of Fashion History and Theory, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design) Penny Martin (Rootstein Hopkins Chair of Fashion Imagery at the London College of Fashion) and Claire Catterall (Somerset House Curator).

Entry Requirements
- Entrants must be aged 18+ (from May 2009).
- Due to the volume of applications expected, we cannot respond to all applications personally.
