SHOWstudio: The Fashion Body
The Fashion Body used fashion and the moving image to explore and celebrate the human body. Over thirty fashion creatives, including designers, models and stylists, were asked to contribute their own unique fashion films that focus on a different area of the body, and use items from the Autumn/Winter 2009-10 collections to adorn it. The films were envisaged from the start as an installation to reflect a complete and whole Fashion Body. The individual films therefore not only functioned as distinct cinematic entities but also as part of a larger panorama of fashion-focused moving image.
