The screening of Kubrick’s cult anti-nuclear comedy marks the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. International human rights activist Bianca Jagger, world-renowned investigative journalist John Pilger, former Foreign Secretary Lord David Owen and Kate Hudson, Chair of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament discuss the relevance of Dr Strangelove in today’s climate of growing international tensions. Betsy Blair, Gene Kelly's first wife, in conversation with Andrew O'Hagan about her life in dance and the times she experienced with one of the world's most famous and talented dancers. Betsy gives her own personal insight into the making of Singin' in the Rain, one of the most famous and best-loved musicals of all time, plus her life together with Kelly in Hollywood and her experience of being black-listed and investigated by McCarthy's House of Un-American Activities.
Betsy Blair will be available to sign copies of her book 'The Memory of All That' after the talk.
