After dark, DJs from a selection of the best international clubs, festivals, labels and radio stations take to the rink-side decks. From house to hip hop, disco to R&B via soul, garage and electro, Skate ‘til late at selected nights throughout the season.
This season’s line-up includes nights from the iconic Ministry of Sound, Toddla T and the man himself Chimpo strapping on their skates plus very special guests, signings from music label Ninja Tune, home of Mr Scruff, Kelis and Floating Points whilst Austrian festival Snowbombing brings a slice of off-piste action to Somerset House.
After your skate, sip on a specially-created cocktail, the Fortnum’s Bee’s Knees in the glamourous Fortnum’s Lodge or relax over a mulled wine in the Skate Lounge with front row views over the rink. Bring a group and dress to impress.

It's 20 years since Rinse FM was born in a tower block flat in East London and ever since they've been the heartbeat of a community. As a highlight of their 20th birthday celebrations, Rinse are taking over Skate’s opening night, bringing Rinse DJs, family and special friends for a unique not to be missed party.

After a huge summer in the Balearics hosting the biggest bands and DJ's in the world, Ibiza Rocks brings the party to the heart of Central London. Hosting their annual party on ice, Rocks DJs Ste-V-Something, Jordan Wade & Simon Guirao will bring the Ibiza vibes to the capital for what’s become a firm fixture in the winter calendar.
The Worldwide Festival was born in Sete (South of France) in July 2006 by the joint initiative of Freshly Cut and Gilles Peterson. The Festival now has its own winter event in Leysin, Switzerland (23-29 March 2015) so expect a night of exquisite sounds from a top selection of the international family DJs. Worldwide baby!
Vintage Nightclub, The Soul Casino takes to the ice to play the sounds that shaped pop culture from deep funk to northern, rare groove to classic soul, disco and authentic R&B mod sounds. Grace the ice in your vintage finery (not obligatory) as our Best in Show skating parades will reward all those who look fabulous.
The global disco powerhouse returns for a guaranteed sellout session at Skate at Somerset House. Having finished another amazing season at Space in Ibiza, Future Disco will be bringing their trademark heat to London for this not to be missed show, late night discotheque on ice.
Chimpo will be bringing Manchester to London for an early start to the festive season on Friday 28 November with the launch of his mix tape 'Monkey Teef'. With special guests, Toddla T and the man himself all strapping on the skates Chimpo On Ice is a show you can't afford to miss. Line up: Toddla T, Chimpo & very special guests.
DEEP SH*T is a nomadic monthly night run by Edwin Congreave (Foals) and Jack Savidge (Friendly Fires). Three years into its existence, the focus for Jack, Edwin and their revolving cast of secret guests and special friends remains on deep, intense party music, taking over the ice.
The greatest show on snow Snowbombing is back with its annually riotous residency at Somerset House! Expect a hand picked selection of some of the best DJs from the snow based shindig, alongside some questionable fancy dress choices and an unbeatable Christmas party atmosphere.
Greco-Roman is a loose collective of artists, DJs and musicians, the three founders Dom Mentsh, Alex Full Nelson and Hot Chip's Joe Goddard who will take residence for the evening. Celebrating the release of their first compilation, they’ll be playing records from their left of centre electronic pop label and classics from their irregular speakeasy parties.

The first ladies of the East London 90s R&B revival, Work It consistently pack the dance floor with big tunes and good vibes, with classics smoother than R Kelly's silk shirt – while Don’t Watch That’s East End club night is a melting pot of music with roots in UK Garage & Grime littered with sprinkles of Bashment, RnB, Kuduro, Ballroom, Jersey & B'more club music respectively.
Now in it’s 11th year, Lovebox is London’s award winning music Festival. More than 75,000 people partied across 2 days in East London’s Victoria Park. Lovebox will be bringing that same disco infused party spirit with them to Skate this winter...
Get up to get down to the best disco, classic hip hop, 80s grooves, classic house and all that good stuff in between. Recreating those Boogie Nights on Ice will be DJ Tayo3000 plus very special friends.
Promoters, producers, turntablists and Cosmic disco taster-makers Spacestation DJs made up of SE7EN, Jordan Wade and J.Lay have been orbiting the galaxy for the last 5 years, sampling, researching and developing their unique blend of space disco! The journey has taken them all over and the ship will be landing on the ice for a special festive party.
NTS is a Dalston based online radio station built for an international community of music lovers – a platform for the impassioned and a space for hosts and DJs to show off the best of their knowledge and record bags. And they’ll be doing just that at Somerset House. NTS Radio is never what you’re expecting. Don’t Assume.
The Gallery at Ministry of Sound will open the new year with a spectacular skating soiree, with resident DJ Gavyn Mytchel and friends providing the perfect soundtrack. Not the Bolero, but classic house anthems – great for strutting ice moves and burning the Christmas calories! It’s The Gallery on ice bringing the Friday night sounds–excellence in the art of skating!
