Since the release of the Mercury Music prize nominated Vehicles and Animals in 2003, Athlete's distinctive hooks and catchy lyrics have become a regular feature on radio stations right across the spectrum. Moody enough for XFM but melodic enough for Radio 2, the band continue to plough a distinctive musical furrow based on good old fashioned songwriting and craftsmanship.
