The Mars Volta

Having already picked up a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance, 2009 looks set to be a big year for The Mars Volta. Lyrically powerful and musically adventurous, the acclaimed rockers steadfastly refuse to be categorised into a single genre. Set for release this summer, their fifth studio album Octahedron is loosely described by front man Omar Rodríguez-López as "acoustic".
