Presented by Somerset House and Dance Umbrella

The award-winning Canadian quintet carved the ice with their signature blend of technical skill and cutting edge style.

In Vertical, the second half of the show first performed in Dance Umbrella 2014, their mix of intricate footwork, wit, speed and grace pushed the boundaries of what is physically possible and carries ice-skating performance into the 21st century.

For this special performance in the iconic courtyard of Somerset House, they were accompanied by an original soundtrack by Jasmin Boivin, and the unique lighting design of Lucy Carter.

“You watch, dazzled, as the five strong collective compete again each other, flirting, mock-fighting, dragging skates backwards, seemingly against gravity.”
