Valentino Exhibition Pop Up Shop
Somerset House in conjunction with the Valentino company have created a pop up exhibition shop featuring designer accessories and vintage books. Valentino SpA has created exclusive products including bespoke, limited edition tote bags. Just ten bags in each of six animal print designs are available to buy, all inspired by their A/W 12/13 collection. Shoppers can pick from zebra, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, panther or tiger prints. Also available in the same animal print designs - bespoke cashmere and wool scarves and sets of three bespoke Moleskin notebooks. The shop is also stocking a range of sunglasses from the Valentino Eyewear Collection (starting from £180).
The exhibition book published by Rizzoli Valentino: Master of Couture A Private View presents material drawn from the Valentino archives in Paris and Rome including photography by Deborah Turbeville and Cathleen Naundorf and images from private photo albums. It complements the curatorial direction of the London exhibition, revealing an intimate portrait of the life and world of Valentino Garavani. It has an introduction by exhibition curator Alistair O’Neill and an afterword by Patrick Kinmonth. It is available for £22.
The shop is also selling a collection of vintage Valentino books - eight titles that are out of print and in pristine condition ranging from £75 to £325 – and The Last Emperor DVD.
