
World Stages London
World Stages London is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of London through theatre. Created by eight of London’s leading theatres collaborating together for the first time to present a season of new shows that draw on the great cultural traditions that make London the most cosmopolitan city in the world.

Drowning World is a global photography project about flooding by photo artist Gideon Mendel. Since 2007 Mendel has documented major scenes of inundation around the world; photographing floods in Pakistan, Australia and Thailand. There will be around 30 prints displayed along with a multi-screen video installation of footage collected on each trip.

Climate Refugees The Opera (w/t) is a new piece of musical theatre specially written to be performed across and between three continents in real time. Collaborating with the communities of each city, Jonathan Dove will compose and Alasdair Middleton will write the libretto to be simultaneously performed in Rio, London and Cape Town.
