Summer Series opens with Pip Millett, one of the most promising talents in UK R&B.

It was crystal clear from her Summer Series set supporting Ghetts in 2022 that the growing hype around Pip’s music entirely justified. She describes her music as “subtle, emotional and calm” and treads a measured line between laidback defiance and vulnerability, but the response has been anything but restrained.

An emphatic and emotive COLORS session for single Make Me Cry, which lit up YouTube, has now racked up in excess of seven million views, and debut album When Everything is Better, I’ll Let You Know was a pick for BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music, i-D, Mixmag, CRACK and more.

On latest release Tell Jimmy, Pip showcases a continued growth as she delves further into R&B territory, with a commanding sass and fiery attitude we’ve not seen from her before, whilst signature silky vocals retain a vibrantly soulful sound. The new project marks an exciting new chapter for the seasoned artist who is on a roll and already well on their way to delivering more new music.

Millett defines a musician in its truest form

V Magazine

Influenced by powerful female forces such as Joni Mitchell and Lauryn Hill, and more recently SZA and Jazmine Sullivan, Pip Millett’s songs are unabashed personal documents underpinned by a fierce independent spirit. In a live setting, Millett’s magnetism makes every gig an intimate experience, with lyrics that perfectly describe shared highs and lows that come across like a late-night conversation with a close friend.

With a string of sold-out UK and EU tours under her belt and collaborations with the likes of Ghetts, Maverick Sabre and Chase & Status amongst others, there’s no better way to start Summer Series than a headline set from this compelling artist.
