The Edmond J. Safra
Fountain Court

The hip-hop laureate of St. Louis pours his dense, melodic flows into funk and soul influenced tracks. This is music for the vibers.

Raised from a long line of musical church folk - his grandfather played bass for Muddy Waters - Smino came up through Chicago’s music scene, where he formed the acclaimed Zero Fatigue crew with producer Monte Booker and singer Ravyn Lenae. After releasing two EPs in 2015, he could be heard guesting on Noname’s Telefone mixtape and Saba’s Bucket List Project, cementing his reputation as one of Chicago’s most essential emerging artists.

In 2017, he released his debut album blkswn, selected as one of Rolling Stone’s hip-hop albums of the year, which overflowed with stream-of-consciousness lyrics, stacked vocal harmonies and effortlessly delivered hooks.

In 2017, he released his debut album blkswn, selected as one of Rolling Stone’s hip-hop albums of the year, which overflowed with stream-of-consciousness lyrics, stacked vocal harmonies and effortlessly delivered hooks.

With over half a billion streams now under his belt, Smino has since opened for SZA and T-Pain, who later returned the favour and featured on his Anita remix. Purportedly London is one of his favourite cities, but Smino’s only played a handful of dates, so grab your opportunity with both hands.

Get ready to experience a funked-up Summer Series party, St Louis style.

Smino, mister misfit but ain’t missed a fit in months
