Our new Appendix feature unpacks references, influences and themes of the week’s online programme and announcements. A Saturday digest of sound, video and written content from across the internet; Appendix is a digital reading, watching and listening list for the extra-curious.


i.) Read: In conversation with Anna Tsing (via Tank Magazine) author of The Mushroom at the End of the World  from which Sam Williams & Roly Porter’s Salvage Rhythms takes its name.

ii.) Listen: Coby Sey, featured on Jacob Samuel’s Eternal Life, presents a guest mix by Andrea Zarza Canova (Curator at British Library Sound Archive / Mana Records) for NTS.

iii.) Watch: The films of Ephraim Asili, now available online, as recommended by Rhea Storr.

iv.) Listen: Cherche Encore 08 for Comet Radio. Cherche Encore is a label/night/project based in London run by Blue Maignien (Hortense) and Harry Murdoch (hmurd). 

v.) Read: Allegedly looted antiquities on sale at London Frieze Masters art fair: Ancient Greek vases identified as having once been in possession of convicted dealer Gianfranco Becchina (via The Guardian) - the 2017 article referred to by Maeve Brennan introducing her to forensic archaeologist Dr Christos Tsirogiannis, a collaborator on her Gallery 31 work, The Goods.
