Bradford Young Short Film Commission

Before each Film4 Summer Screen feature film, audiences will get to enjoy an exclusive screening of a short film commissioned by Somerset House and created by acclaimed American cinematographer Bradford Young (Selma, Arrival, A Most Violent Year).

A memorial to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle, Young's film is a meditation on the cathartic nature of collective mourning in the African diaspora.

Young is a contributor to our landmark summer exhibition Get Up, Stand Up Now!, which celebrates the past 50 years of Black creativity in Britain and beyond.
