Vacancy for Visitor Experience Assistants

Contract type: Fixed-term, Casual Worker (5 week or 8 month contract – starting end of May)

We are seeking fixed-term Visitor Experience Assistants to join our Visitor Experience team to work primarily on London Design Biennale (01-27 June 2021), with the option of a longer contract to work on other events (subject to programming) until mid-January 2022.

This role involves being the first point of contact to visitors at Somerset House, providing a warm and friendly welcome, giving directional information and assisting with any queries or ticketing issues. The ideal candidate will have a commitment and passion for ensuring outstanding visitor experience to a diverse audience.

Applicants must be available over the following dates:

  • 13 & 17 May – interviews (held remotely via Zoom)
  • 20 & 26 May – training dates
  • 01 – 27 June – London Design Biennale exhibition dates

During exhibition dates applicants must be able to commit to working 30-40 hours per week, including weekends.

As well as a 5-week contract to work on London Design Biennale, we are also offering the option of an 8-month contract to mid-January to work on other events later in the year (subject to programming).
