Courtyard Installation by Yinka Ilori

On entering our open-air courtyard, visitors will be immersed in a vibrant, colourful and kaleidoscopic world created by British-Nigerian artist and designer, Yinka Ilori. Filling the courtyard, Ilori’s large-scale installation forms a joyful landscape for visitors to explore and savour time with friends and family. Ilori’s design takeover extends to the skies with a new, bespoke flag commission flying over Somerset House’s South Wing, exemplifying the artist’s bold signature style.

Nestled into the courtyard installation, Ilori has carved out a variety of outdoor seating booths, where groups between two and six people can gather for Jimmy’s Pop-Up and indulge in delicious fare as well as delectable drinks.

With thanks to the Adonyeva Foundation and to the founders of Zeyziart, Can and Zeynep Koseoglu, for their kind support towards this commission
