Beloved British star Jodie Whittaker joins us at Somerset House to talk about the films that have inspired and influenced her over the course of her life and career.

Having made her big-screen debut opposite Peter O’Toole in 1996’s Venus, Jodie has gone on to work in film, television and on stage, taking a range of roles that highlight her skill, versatility and dynamic presence. A fan favourite thanks to leading parts in the likes of Attack the Block and the ‘Black Mirror’ series, a household name after playing the character Beth Latimer in three seasons of Broadchurch and a firm fixture in UK cinemas with the recent releases Adult Life Skills and Journeyman, Jodie’s next acting adventure will be as the thirteenth Doctor in Doctor Who. A lifelong film enthusiast (and a regular in the courtyard for Summer Screen!), Jodie will talk about the movies – and movie characters – she loves and that have shaped her own approach to acting, as well as focussing on moments from her own career that stand out as something special.

Head to the Great Arch Hall entrance for 18.30 to receive your complimentary cocktail from the Grey Goose pop-up bar, accessed via Victoria Embankment. Talks start at 19.00 and last approximately one hour.

Book your ticket for the accompanying feature film (Behind the Screen ticket and film ticket must be booked individually) and you'll receive a priority space at the front of the courtyard with Grey Goose cushions and blankets and a second cocktail from the Grey Goose East Wing Bar.
