Bryn Williams Restaurant

Bryn Williams at Somerset House offers a modern British dining, serving seasonal dishes where – although not necessarily vegetarian – the fruit and vegetable components take centre stage. With a relaxed and contemporary environment, Somerset House’s creative community is at the restaurant’s core – reflected through the food, service and design.

The restaurant is Williams’ second London opening, adding to a portfolio that includes Odette’s in Primrose Hill, where he has held the position of Chef Patron since 2008. In addition, Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias, a beach-front restaurant, café and bar on the North Wales coast, opened in 2015

Conceived in Sweden and born in Bermondsey, Hej (meaning ‘hello’) now brings its authentic neighbourhood coffee shop vibe to Somerset House, serving speciality coffee, plus great food and drinks in a welcoming accessible environment.

Supporting our community and the environment is imperative to Hej and they only use 100% compostable takeaway cups for customers who don’t yet own one of their reusable ‘Keepcups’. Hej even makes its own biochar for your garden or window box from your recycled takeaway cups!

Pennethorne’s Bar

Nestled within the New Wing of Somerset House, this all-day bar is themed on the Grand Tour experience.

Fusing dishes from popular stop-offs on the arts-focused route taken by the upper classes in the 19th century, you can expect to find Italian and French classics with a modern English twist as well as fine wines, cocktails and sharing boards. Think chic engagement parties, trendy work dos, legendary networking events or simply a night out with friends, Pennethorne’s Bar works for all occasions. Available now for exclusive use hire for up to 100 guests Pennethorne’s Bar is amongst the top ranked best bars within central London.
