Adding to the international flavours in this year’s Summer Series, Bomba Estéreo deserve to be your new favourite band. Hailing from Colombia, they’re the living, breathing embodiment of a fun night out.

Their music has been described as "electro tropical" and "psychedelic cumbia", taking in a global palette of sounds that run from pop to electro. Appropriately, according to founding members Simón Mejía and Li Saumet, the band's name is a Colombian term for "a really cool, awesome, bad ass party", and with A-listers like Will Smith and Sofi Tukker having joined the Bomba posse for infectious dancefloor collaborations, it feels like everyone wants to be on this guest list.

With a string of Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations under their belt, Bomba Estéreo toured as support for Arcade Fire’s Everything Now World Tour, which saw them pick up a whole new family of fans across Europe and the US. In 2018, the band reached the worldwide Top 500 most listened to artists on Spotify, so a return to London for their biggest headline date so far with new record Deja is big news.

Anticipating a set list filled to the brim with party vibes, we can’t wait to welcome Bomba Estéreo’s unique high energy fiesta to light up our Summer Series stage.

The Busy Twist
Soaking up sounds and grooves from St Lucia to Jamaica, Ghana to Colombia, London born producer, global electronic sound specialist Oliver Williams, aka The Busy Twist, has travelled the globe to build and create his dancefloor killing productions.

His debut EP Friday Night and the subsequent London Luanda Remix Series on Galletas Calientes Records set the scene, respectfully crossing sound boundaries and cultures to join the dots between Afro House, Kuduro, Latin and UK Bass.

Picking up plays and props from Annie Mac and Jamz Supernova, The Busy Twist’s remixes are already being played in clubs and parties all over the world, so we’re looking forward to a joyful, sun-soaked, danceable Electro-Soukous party joint.
