Will Gregory and Alison Goldfrapp’s irresistibly decadent synthpop and technicolour visual theatrics have made them one of the best loved electronic acts in British music.

Never ones to tread the obvious path, Goldfrapp has evolved and transformed with each album and it’s live that their trademark discotronic soundscapes, crystalline vocals and electro anthems should be experienced. The new album Silver Eye weaves together the diverse influences and strands of Goldfrapp’s music like never before, sharing the pulsing, electronic pulse of Black Cherry and Supernature yet going to deeper, darker places.

With Alison creatively directing all the visuals and photographing the cover artwork, the duo also pushed themselves to work with new collaborators for the first time, including award winning producer John Congleton, electronic composer Bobby Krlic, aka The Haxan Cloak, and Brian Eno collaborator Leo Abrahams. The resulting tracks are a celebration of transformation and intense sensation, hotwiring cold, metallic electronics with a hot pulse of analogue blood.

Their last performance here was one of the highlights of the Summer Series in 2013, so it’s a special treat to have Goldfrapp return with the next phase of their ongoing metamorphosis, creating live music that’s full of mystery, menace and spectacle.

“Few artists possess the chutzpah and imagination to perennially reinvent themselves as successfully as Goldfrapp have done.”

Five-piece London band Sloes deliver string laden indie-pop with soaring vocal melodies and have already had the nod from Wonderland Magazine, Hunger and CLASH magazine as a young band to watch.
