A space to hear from trailblazing creatives and industry experts, pick up the hacks and be inspired, Upgrade Yourself is a series of interactive talks and workshops produced by Somerset House. In front of a live audience and streamed live, sessions unpick alternative career pathways in the creative industries – whether behind the scenes or at the forefront – connecting young creatives and high-profile creative industry gamechangers. Upgrade Yourself is aimed at people aged 18-30 who are looking to unlock their creative potential and work out what their next steps are.
Our Upgrade Yourself: Online programme brought innovative programming, to inform and connect you with our industry peers, to support and unlock your creative potential and ideas. By offering inspirational lunchtime talks delivered by high profile creative professionals, as well as engaging process-led workshops developed by industry insiders and facilitators.
Industry voices and game changers share their career journeys and practical tips to both home and international audiences in these online talks. There is also the opportunity for audience members to ask live and direct questions via one of our Hosts from the Young Producer Programme at Somerset House.
We bring participants together in small groups to meet innovative creative industry thinkers and doers (either individuals, collectives, or organisations). We encourage everyone in the room to contribute to the session, allowing for deeper engagement, which could be conversational, bitesize prototyping and/or creative play, alongside a Somerset House Producer. This is first-come, first-chance as spaces are limited, so please register and express your interest
