Join Akil Benjamin of COMUZI for this Peer Exchange session, where he presents his engaging and practical workshop on how to develop a sustainable creative practise to pay your bills.

Akil’s online workshop will give you the chance to identify and take away a personal plan to apply to your own creative practice which may help you start generating revenue, during the session, we will be covering: 

  • Your creative vision  
  • How to develop a method around customer research and how you can sell your creative work 
  • How to find the minimal resources required, personally accessible to you, to set up your creative practice 
  • How to develop a go-to-market strategy 

Throughout you will have the chance to ask questions via our social platforms and Twitch.

About the Speaker

Akil Benjamin is Head of Research and Strategy at COMUZI. He works with global organisations to make new products, services and experiences for their customers. Currently COMUZI works with Wellcome Trust and Southwark Council but their client list includes, Mozilla, Asos, adidas, Samsung and many more. Akil is also Director of M&C Saatchi Saturday School, where he teach communities nationwide the basics of business. 

This year they have a goal to teach 1000 people and are already 20% there. They’re still looking to reach another 100 participants through remote classes. Additionally, the Saturday School have premade learning materials they are willing to share if attendees need it, covering business planning, getting started with digital marketing, wellbeing at work and business finance essentials. These tools have proven valuable for anyone starting out a creative career as they get their head in the know to make a living from their work.
