Ben creates work in the space between art, science and music. His work uses and combines light, sound, time and movement to compose experiences that reveal fundamental mechanisms through which we relate to the physical and virtual environments we inhabit. Before starting his solo practice in 2016, Ben co-directed United Visual Artists and its sister studio Another Space, overseeing design and development across the studio’s artistic and performative practice.

Ben will continue research into sensory processes, develop a new system for synesthetic installation and performance, and explore how different environments provide unique reference points for shifts in perception. In addition to attempting to beat the guys from Unmade at snooker and regularly turning up to Friday drinks.

Ben K is a resident of Studio 48.
