In approximately one hour, you'll discover evidence of Tudor intrigue and Georgian Enlightenment, scientific curiosity and naval power, extravagant entertainments and 'the King's Shilling', as we lead you from the airy lightwells of graceful staircases to the atmospheric Deadhouse.

Once a month, in place of our regular tours visitors can discover how we’ve transformed this wing of our building into a working space for creatives in the heart of the city by joining one of two Somerset House Studio tours.

Private Exhibition Tours
Enhance your exhibition visit with a bespoke guided tour. We are able to offer in- depth tours of  selected exhibition for private groups. These last approximately 45 minutes and must be booked in advance.

The cost is £200 for a minimum of 10 visitors, and up to £250 for a maximum of 20 visitors (admission not included).
Please note that large groups (20 or more) may be divided into smaller groups at busy times.
