RAW SILK is the alias of best pals Grace and Steph, an ode to the short-lived 80’s boogie duo. What started as a humble night in Peckham back in 2016 has grown, having been picked up by party-starters Percolate and asked to be residents. Since then, their sets have continued to recreate a taste of the dance-floor freedom they’d experienced whilst living in Melbourne together many moons ago.
These days, they’ve left the disco 12s behind, but the focus is still fun, making sure to never take themselves too seriously. Never stuck in one decade, expect a range of pumping house, stomping EBM, balearic synths, breaks, drums, vocals and pop. Their different styles create a balance, but the common thread is to get people dancing.
