Welcome in the New Year with an unforgettable night out at Somerset House. As well as being able to skate into 2018 on London’s most beautiful ice rink, you can soak up the lively atmosphere in our stunning courtyard with live music from the incredible LaSharVu, a soulful powerhouse with killer harmonies and an infectious energy, plus there's rink-side DJ sets from world renowned producer Eric Lau

You'll also have exclusive access to our River Terrace overlooking the Thames to take in views of the Mayor’s spectacular fireworks away from the rest of the crowds, and you can keep the party going at our riverside Champagne Bar.

A wide range of seasonal food and drink will be available throughout the evening. Celebrate in style at Fortnum’s Lodge with warming Raclettes and Fondues and raise a glass to the New Year with cocktails and Fortnum’s Champagne. The River Terrace will host market food stalls including sweet and savoury waffles and warming beverages as well as our outdoor Champagne Bar.

Fernandez & Wells will be offering warm and tasty hot plates like chorizo, grilled artichokes and roasted aubergine, as well as some of the finest cured meats and cheeses from all over Europe, complemented by natural, organic wine, cava or prosecco.

For front row views of the rink the Skate Lounge is the ideal setting  to drink and warm up, plus there's a direct sound-feed so you can soak up the live music and DJ sets.

LaSharVu comprises three of the UK's most respected vocalists - LaDonna Harley Peters, Sharlene Hector and Vula Malinga. They've been the go-to live backing vocalists for artists ranging from Sam Smith to Mary J Blige, Lalah Hathaway and Rahsaan Patterson to Corinne Bailey Rae, Emeli Sande, Alicia Keys and Mark Ronson. Between them, they’ve recorded for Madonna, Primal Scream, Grace Jones, Laura Mvula and Sam Smith, amongst many more and Sharlene Hector and Vula have been lead feature vocalists for Basement Jaxx for a decade.
