Winter at Somerset House Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter of this competition is Somerset House Trust, The Strand, London WC2R 1LA.

2. Information on how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions.

3. Entry into the competition is deemed to be in acceptance of these terms and conditions.

4. Please note that this competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom.

5. Entry is open to any resident of the United Kingdom who possesses an email address and/or Instagram account, except employees or contractors of the promoters or immediate family members of the employees or contractors of the promoters.

6. The competition concludes at 23.59 on Wed 7 Dec 2017.

7. To enter, entrants must create and share an image on Instagram using the hashtag #WinterSomersetHouse and follow @somersethouse on Instagram, or submit their entry to the email address

8. The prize will be awarded to one winner, which in the opinion of a team of judges at Somerset House Trust, is the most engaging, appropriate and relevant. Popularity of the post may be taken into consideration but is not a determining factor in deciding the winner. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winning entry.

9. Prize is a pair of tickets for New Year's Eve (31 Dec 2017) at Somerset House.

10. Somerset House Trust reserves the right to change the prize to a prize of equal or greater value.

11. All prizes are non-exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

12. The winner will be contacted by email or via direct message on Instagram. By entering into the competition, the entrant agrees to be contacted by Somerset House Trust in this way.

13. The winner of the competition must confirm their delivery address for the competition prize within one week of receiving the email or direct message. If a winner does not claim their prize within this time frame, the prize will be awarded to a new winner.

14. Multiple submissions using the same email address or entrants using multiple Instagram accounts will be disqualified and entries must comply with the terms and conditions of Instagram.

15. Each entrant agrees that they have independently developed and/or have the relevant authority/consent(s) to submit the Entry and will not infringe the intellectual property or any other rights of any person.

16. All entrants understand and agree that any information submitted with an entry – with the exception of their contact details – may be used for marketing purposes by Somerset House Trust, and may be visible on indefinitely as well as on the Somerset House Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.

17. Any entries deemed offensive or inappropriate by Somerset House Trust will be disqualified from the competition.

18. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.

19. Entrants consent to the lawful processing of their personal information by Somerset House Trust for the purposes of selecting a winner of the competition and otherwise in accordance with Somerset House Trust’s online Privacy Policy.

20. Somerset House Trust reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
