The multi-platinum selling superstar South African Amapiano DJ and producer DBN Gogo takes over the opening Summer Series Saturday with an afternoon and evening featuring special guest DJs.

DBN Gogo (Mandisa Radebe) gained attention following outstanding performances on the Channel O Lockdown House Party and Quarantunes Live Sessions back in 2020. She quickly became one of the most talked about DJs in South Africa, leading the way for women and bypassing traditional industry gatekeepers, with hype building for her own tracks.

The debut album What’s Real proved to be a collection of soulful, spiritual and dancefloor-rooted anthems that pay tribute to her heritage, featuring Stixx, DJ Stopper, EltonK and Nvcho, the new generation of Amapiano stars signed to DBN Gogo’s label, Zikode Records, alongside established artists such as Boohle, Felo Le Tee and Mellow & Sleazy.

On a mission to take Amapiano global, she curated a nine-day Boiler Room in Johannesburg with a key focus on promoting diversity and inclusivity in music, has featured on the Times Square billboard in New York, rocked Wireless and contributed two songs to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album. Check any live footage and you’ll see the infectious electric energy that this selector brings to the decks, with no holds barred performances that hype up any crowd to a dancing frenzy.

Amapiano is always on the move, constantly giving birth to new subgenres and quickly bleeding into other styles and dancefloors all over the world. Pick up that pulse and experience an artist whose joyful spirit feels unstoppable.

Mellow & Sleazy, a duo whose unique sound combines Amapiano and Bacardi melodies, has made them a global breakout in South Africa. Meanwhile, Mixolis, one of the UK’s most influential Amapiano DJs, will bring a set featuring a mix of Afro Tech, Amapiano and soulful House. Completing the bill is London DJ Nicky Summers, who is set to play an infusion of African electronic music along with the Slow Poison dance crew.
