A highlight of London’s summer calendar, the series features everything from red-carpet premieres, comedies and musicals to thrillers, action movies and foreign-language films, all shown on a state-of-the-art screen with full surround sound.
Every August, Somerset House and Film4 present two weeks of classic, cult and contemporary films, plus new premieres in London's most beautiful open-air cinema.
"Watching a movie under the stars in Somerset House’s beautiful courtyard on a balmy summer evening is a near-perfect London experience."

Red Carpet Premieres
Every year we screen a number of premieres as part of the season. In 2016 we welcomed back Pedro Amodovar for the premiere of Julieta, as well as screening premieres of Things to Come and Captain Fantastic.
