Günseli Yalcinkaya

Günseli Yalcinkaya is an artist, writer and researcher based in London, whose work explores how technology shapes myth. Her practice of internet folklore traces how contemporary technologies give rise to new ideologies, digital superstitions and collective fantasies. She is a member of the multidisciplinary audiovisual project, The Talk, commissioned by TIMES, alongside musician Heith and architect Andrea Belosi.

Her writing has appeared in Art Review, carrier-bag.net, CURA, Spike Art and 032c, as well as in publications for Aksioma, Ars Electronica, Julia Stoschek, and HEK Basel, among others. As an expert voice, she has appeared in talks, lectures and panels at the Architectural Association, Sonar+D, Somerset House, Global Art Forum Dubai, Ibraaz, and The Photographer's Gallery. Her research on quantum culture was presented as part of LAS Art Foundation's S+T+ARTS Prize-winning Sensing Quantum programme (2025).

In 2023, Günseli curated Cybernetic Serendipity: Towards AI at ICA in London. She is Associate Curator of the forthcoming exhibition at Somerset House, titled Abracadabra!, opening to the public in 2027. As a researcher, she has held fellowships at the Weibel Research Institute for Digital Cultures in Vienna. She is a former External Research Associate at Moth Quantum.
