Our Career Development programmes offer a chance to those at an early-stage to join our resident creative community (Studios, Makerversity and Exchange including Black Business Residencies), and support their practice through opportunities to engage, participate, learn and grow. This includes bursaries, mentoring and our public platform.

Upgrade Yourself (16–30)

We offer a range of entry routes into the arts and creative industries. Leveraging our resident creative community and our cultural programme, we create space for young people aged 16–30 to explore a creative career, test ideas, learn, and grow with confidence.

Black Business Residency

Helping early-stage Black entrepreneurs to embrace innovation and push boundaries, unlocking their full potential and allowing their creative enterprises to thrive.

Somerset House Exchange Bursaries

Exchange offers bursary memberships with up to 75% off rates to people who may face barriers in terms of access and opportunity in the creative and cultural sector.
