Developed in partnership with DOES and with Morgan Stanley as Anchor Partner, the Black Business Residency at Somerset House is a bold initiative designed to champion early-stage Black entrepreneurs with innovative ideas. Whether redefining industries or pioneering new cultural conversations, this residency aims to elevate and support founders of innovative businesses in the creative industry.
Formerly known as the Black Business Incubator, this twelve-month residency offers a launchpad for visionary creatives ready to scale their ideas, connect with like-minded peers, and become part of a dynamic community of cultural innovators here at Somerset House, home to London’s most exciting cultural and creative enterprises. A key part of the programme is a year of free membership to Exchange at Somerset House, providing residents with co-working space, access, and opportunity.
We know that building a successful business takes more than passion. That’s why our hybrid programme pairs expert-led monthly masterclasses, high-impact networking events, and access to a supportive, inclusive environment that fuels growth and helps businesses thrive.
The Black Business Residency is a powerful platform for underrepresented talent to unlock their potential, accelerate their growth, and shape the future of the creative economy.
