Gift Aid
Somerset House Trust is an independent charity that receives no regular public funding. Now more than ever, we rely on external support to present our diverse cultural programme, sustain our community of resident artists and deliver our young people’s programmes. Your donation can help us continue this vital work.
As a charity, we can participate in the government Gift Aid scheme, this allows us to reclaim the tax you pay on your donation, subject to certain criteria.
If you are a UK taxpayer donating through Gift Aid, Somerset House Trust can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, this comes at no extra cost to you. To do this we require a valid Gift Aid declaration in respect of the donation. This declaration can be given up to four years after your donation.
Please notify the Somerset House Trust if you want to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address, or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
Somerset House Supporters' Court
To make the most of HMRC’s Gift Aid scheme our Supporters' Court Memberships are comprised of a benefit and a donation.
A minimum payment (including VAT) secures all Patron benefits, the outstanding balance is a suggested donation to which Gift Aid provisions apply, but you may purchase the benefits package separately without making any further donation by contacting the Development Manager on 020 7845 4635.
If you require any more information about becoming a member, please contact Sarah Pettifor, Development Manager: sarah.pettifor@somersethouse.org.uk or call 020 7845 4835.
