The Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court
The Edmond J. Safra Court, framed by Sir William Chambers’ neoclassical quad, is at the heart of Somerset House and offers a spectacular setting for bespoke and unforgettable events.
The emblematic Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court is our most sought-after space onsite, centered around the building’s iconic courtyard fountains, and framed on all sides by glorious Georgian-era 18th century architecture. Situated just off of the Strand – a short distance from Waterloo Bridge and Lancaster Place – the Courtyard is popular with both the public and Somerset House community alike throughout the year, and provides the stage and setting for a number of Somerset House’s most notable, seasonal events (including the Summer Series and Skate).
The grandeur and drama of the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court's architecture provides an atmosphere that speaks directly to the uniqueness of Somerset House’s diverse programme, the building’s architectural heritage, and provides an unrivalled backdrop for your hire in this unequalled central London location.
