Folds and Folding: a lecture exploring the grey area between art and symmetry, intuitive topology and metaphorical origami. 

A collection of very different examples, from science fiction to music, art, video games, philosophy, cinema and biology, of the very notion of fold and the act of folding as an analogy for the deformation of everyday reality (and our perception of it).

Roc Jiménez de Cisneros is a member of EVOL with Stephen Sharp. They make mentasmic computer music and deformed techno objects.

Doors for this event will open at 18.30. The talk will begin at 19:00 with time for Q&A afterwards. Drinks will be available from the bar next to the entrance to the New Wing of Somerset House.
