Designing for Discovery: A Journey Through Space and Emotion, presented by Hong Kong

The talk will shine a light on the Hong Kong pavilion, revealing how spatial experiences are used to create immersive volumes and verticality that evoke a sense of rescue and exploration, and exploring how the LDB audience have engaged with this interactive pavilion throughout the exhibition.

The talk will begin with the designers sharing their personal perspectives and emotional connections to the spaces and the city. They will highlight the contrasts and complexities of Hong Kong's urban landscape, providing a deeper understanding of the design decisions that shaped the exhibition. Having collected the emotions and reactions of LDB visitors from 5–25 June, this event will showcase them as a dynamic visual outcome during the talk. This interactive element allows the audience to become an integral part of the exhibition, sharing their thoughts and feelings about the spaces and designs on display.
