The Amateurs Club is a free DIY film school, hosted by Somerset House Studios and Forest Fringe, featuring each month a different professional from the world of film. For September we are exploring screenwriting with Stacey Gregg.

Stacey Gregg is a writer, performer and director for stage and screen. As as screenwriter she has worked on Channel4's Coming Up, Sky Atlantic's The Frankenstein Chronicles and Riviera which was Sky's biggest selling show of 2017, The Innocents for Netflix due to drop this week, Letter for The King for Netflix and Little Birds with Warp/ Amazon due to shoot this Autumn. She has written short films Mercy as part of NIScreen Access Shorts and Balls co-written with Lily Cole for the Foundling Museum and Brönte Parsonage. Her short Your Ma's A Hard Brexit was featured in The Guardian as part of Headlong's series and has screened at the ICA, BFI and internationally. Her original single IRL is in with Kudos/ BBC and she is developing original series with Kudos, Warp and Sunnymarch. She is part of this years ifeatures and her feature Ballywalter is due to shoot in 2019 with Riverstone producing.
