Nikon Presents: Heather Agyepong in Conversation with Nikon: On Rest & Resistance

End Times is a project that explores global environmental collapse and how we consume information about it, by reconsidering entrenched narratives and understanding. The images are journalistic in their attempt to present truth rather than agenda and artistic in the way they consider subjects and storytelling: visually, rather than editorially. The project is ongoing.

Three Discovery artists, Rosie Emerson (Bright Gallery) Michelle Marshall and Rachel Fleminger Hudson (Sarabande Foundation) discuss their enthralling, wistful works, leading aesthetic shifts as part of a new generation in fashion photography in the UK, and how they are each inspired by and informed by their research into materials, costumes and the past. The discussion is moderated by writer Rosalind Jana.

Our discussion will explore and evaluate the contribution of the autochrome to the representation of fashion in this period: whether it challenges and alters stereotypical preconceptions of the colour of dress, its impact on fashion photography, and its place in the so-called ‘chromatic modernity’ of the early twentieth century.

An introduction to the brand’s first cultural activation in the United Kingdom, celebrating its first 60 years and bringing to London the exhibition ‘In Y/our Life’ With Gianluigi Ricuperati, curator of the project, and Laura Pannack, the award-winning photographer and protagonist of one of K-Way’s most important commissions as a Presenting Partner of Photo London 2025.
