International Fashion Showcase 2019

11 – 25 Feb 2019
West Wing

The International Fashion Showcase (IFS) nurtures and puts forward work from the most up-and-coming fashion talent from around the world, and is a partnership between Somerset House, British Council, British Fashion Council and London College of Fashion.

In August, Somerset House will welcome 15 cutting-edge fashion designers from five continents for a week in residence, ahead of their collections being shown in a compelling series of installations during London Fashion Week in February 2019. Immersed within the creative community at Somerset House, the designers will explore, test and develop a series of creative projects, and the collaborations will form part of their installations and the wider exhibition in February 2019. This is when designers will return to London to show menswear and womenswear designs exploring topical issues and present new ideas that are shaping fashion globally.

The IFS was established in 2012 as a platform for emerging fashion designers to exhibit their work during London Fashion Week. Bringing cutting edge fashion design to London from around the globe, IFS invites us to explore different cultures and consider current world issues through fashion. To date, IFS has showcased more than 600 designers from 70 countries.
