London Design Biennale has been postponed to June 2021.

London Design Biennale is a global gathering of the world’s most ambitious and imaginative designers, curators, and design institutes. It was conceived to give a voice to the most important design thinking from around the world.

The countries, cities and territories in our international network are core to our mission. Keeping our visitors and designers safe remains our priority and given the current international travel restrictions and quarantine requirements, we are postponing the 2020 Biennale exhibition to 2021. The third edition will now take place in June 2021, still at Somerset House, London.

London Design Biennale’s role in facilitating and sharing international design solutions is needed now more than ever – and we are creating a new strategic initiative with Chatham House Royal Institute of International Affairs to provide a platform for the international design community to collaborate and exchange radical ideas. Further details of this unique and major partnership will be announced in the coming weeks.

Ticket holders will be contacted individually to discuss their options.

Es Devlin has been named Artistic Director and has chosen' Resonance' as the theme, which up to 50 countries, cities and territories will respond to in their installations and presentations across the entirety of Somerset House.

Capitalising on its first two editions, London Design Biennale will provoke debate and amaze audiences in an engaging exchange of ideas about the universal impact of design in contemporary culture. It will explore design’s potential as a transformative global tool and show its power to inspire, entertain and inform.
