Music Hackspace Artist Talk: Anna Meredith

FREE
Mon 04 Sep 2017
18.30-21.00
G16
New Wing

Anna Meredith is a composer and musician. She uses a mix of electronic and acoustic instruments and is frequently referred to as being “genre-defying” or “uncategorisable.” Her music sits somewhere between classical, techno, rock and pop. One of her recent projects, Anno, embodied this indefinability. Here she collaborated with The Scottish Ensemble to combine electronic music with a classical rendition of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

Music Hackspace invites Anna to talk about her approach and methods when it comes to making music, previous projects and what she’s currently working on.

Doors for this event will open at 18.30. The talk will begin at 19.00 with time for Q&A afterwards. Drinks will be available from the bar next to the entrance to the New Wing of Somerset House.

The venue is located on the ground floor of Somerset House and is fully wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet. If you have any other access requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
