In this event, which was part of The Wire magazine’s Music By Any Means series in collaboration with Somerset House Studios, the duo of Rie Nakajima and Keiko Yamamoto gave a performance that demonstrates their unique approach to improvisation and song writing.
The performance, which was recorded at Somerset House, is followed by a discussion with their regular collaborator, writer and musician David Toop. The discussion then develops into a trio performance before reverting back to a conversation which attempts to understand the processes by which O YAMA O's music emerges into the world.
