Queer Family Picnic

Presented by Pxssy Palace

FREE
Fri 11 Aug
12.00-17.00
Edmond J. Safra
Fountain Court

Join us for a daytime intergenerational gathering for queer families in all forms and all those who support them.

Have picnic blankets at the ready for this day of play in the courtyard. We’ve got a drop-in flower pressing workshop, live performance in the form of dance from Beats of Polynesia, Miss MOD, a South Asian percussion group, plus a DJ set from Pxssy Palace, to get the whole family moving.

We’ll also have independent sellers on hand with unique goods ranging from tooth gems and homemade body butters & lotions to a community library stocked by Brick Lane’s queer book shop Common Press. For parents looking to reflect and unwind, there will also be massage and tarot.

About Pxssy Palace

Celebrated for their events providing intentional spaces for black, indigenous and people of colour who are women, queer, intersex, trans* or non-binary, Pxssy Palace bring their signature style of music and expression of authentic selves to this daytime event for families.

Please note, the flower pressing workshop involves pressing botanicals onto fabric and paper. We welcome participants to bring their own clothes & fabric accessories to upcycle as part of this.
