Join us at Somerset House Book Club as we welcome Mary Finnigan, author of Psychedelic Suburbia: David Bowie and the Beckenham Arts Lab. The book is an account of Mary's time spent with David Bowie at the beginning of his career and during the launch of the Beckenham Arts Lab. This is the full story of Bowie's pivotal year in Beckenham, written by his friend, lover and landlady, one of the first people to encourage and support him.
Mary will be reading from Psychedelic Suburbia and will be in conversation with journalist Peter Gillman, co-author of Alias David Bowie. There will be an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book during the evening too.
