Aparna Surendra
Aparna Surendra's fiction focuses on experimental modes that interrogate systemic violence. While in residence at Somerset House Studios, she will be working on her debut novel.
Aparna Surendra is a Sri Lankan writer based in London. Her fiction has been shortlisted for the White Review Short Story Prize and the Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize. She has been awarded a Tin House general fiction residency, a London Writers Award, and is a current participant on the London Library’s Emerging Writers Programme.
