Chuquimamani-Condori (Live)

Multidisciplinary artist and musician Chuquimamani-Condori presents the UK live premiere of new album DJ E, headlining Assembly with their first solo London performance since 2018.

A record described by FACT as, “one of the most mind-bending, magical albums we’ve heard all year”, DJ E follows recent commissions presented at MoMA PS1, Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève and Auto Italia in collaboration with sibling Joshua Chuquimia Crampton, alongside acclaimed releases as Elysia Crampton and E+E through PAN and The Vinyl Factory.
"This is the sound of our water ceremonies”, Chuquimamani-Condori says of DJ E, “the 40 bands playing their melodies at once to recreate the cacophony of the first aurora and the call of the morning star Venus”. Weaving in demos and material from recent mixtapes alongside the new record, Chuquimamani-Condori assembles an exclusive live performance characterised by their unique collaging of club music with traditional drum and ceremonial music from their Pakajaqueño family to close out Assembly 2024.
