A three part series hosted by Studios resident Erica Scourti, exploring how to live according to personal and collective ideals, and what actions we take to live by them.

How do we read bodies and how is this body to be read?

Jade Montserrat

For the second Dream Actions artist Jade Montserrat will join Erica Scourti in conversation talking through some of her work across drawing, painting, performance, film, and text. Montserrat works at the intersection of art and activism, interrogating these mediums with the aim to expose gaps in our visual and linguistic habits. Together they will discuss recurring themes in her work, including her notion of Affectionate Movement, ecologies of care, critique of institutions and structural oppression and the demands placed on bodies within and outside the performance space.
