Educators’ Evening

Thu 21 Nov 2019
17.30 - 20.00
East Wing

Explore exhibitions, exchange ideas and network with colleagues across education, arts and cultural sectors. Gain insight into our current and upcoming cultural programme whilst considering collaborative project opportunities for your learners.

Professionals across education, arts and cultural sectors are invited to attend late night gallery tours of current exhibitions 24/7 and Mary Sibande I Came Apart At The Seams.

Accompanying activity will inform and inspire new ways of working collaboratively on cultural content, considering future planning and opening project opportunities for educators and learners alike.

As example of this Resident Somerset House Studios artist Rhea Storr will present this summer’s artist led project, and screen the exhibition inspired short film ‘Londoners’ collectively produced with young people aged 12-17.

Creative Careers Academy participants will speak of their experience of being part of the nine-month work placement programme, and how it has provided opportunities and supported their journey into roles in the creative industry.

And members of the Somerset House Learning & Skills team will be on hand throughout the evening to find out more about how to get involved in the vibrant and engaging programme. Whilst connecting conversations with fellow teachers, lecturers, policy makers and community leaders.
